About the Position:

This is a full-time, salaried position overseeing marketing and communications, brand management, public relations, online presence and social media engagement for Nusura – a quickly growing software and services firm. This is a Denver-based position, requiring attendance at Nusura’s Denver headquarters. Travel will be required on occasion.


The marketing and communications manager will work directly with Nusura’s CEO to develop and implement Nusura’s marketing and communications strategy, benchmarks and success metrics. You will collaborate with the creative director, program leadership, directors of practice areas, and the business development team to:

Essential Skills:

  • Solid grasp of effective marketing communications strategies
  • Extraordinary written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong analytical and project management skills
  • Autonomous, self-starting and resourceful
  • Experience with public safety, emergency management, homeland security or defense a plus

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, public relations, communications or related fields
  • At least 3 years’ progressive experience developing and managing marketing communications programs
  • Digital marketing skills and experience
  • Denver-based (or willingness to relocate)


  • Crisis communications experience
  • NIMS/ICS certification
  • Expertise in Social Media in Emergency Management (#SMEM)
